About Us
Fernwood was originally built as a lovely family home in 1924 by Claude and Veda Spivey. With its Greek Revival architecture, it features an impressive style that will serve as a stately backdrop to your special event. The home is located on a beautifully landscaped, 2-acre estate on Scott Street. It's listed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage, created by the Alabama Historical Commission. Located only a few blocks away from the historic Scottsboro Town Square, this venue is easily accessible for guests. Fernwood can accommodate up to 60 guests for inside events and up to 150 guests for outdoor events. We strive to help you create the perfect event for large and small gatherings alike.
